Many Mac users have trouble sending mail using Outlook.
They can receive mail just fine, but they will get an error when trying to send.
This is most likely because they haven't set the SMTP server to require authentication.
The option to do this is in a different place than in the Windows version.
If you come across this problem, the first step is to make sure they are using a current version of Outlook.
Version 4.01 doesn't appear to support SMTP AUTH at all, but 5.0+ does.
The Accounts setup screen is still in Tools -> Accounts.
